Executive MBA – compulsory modules

Strengthen and expand your management skills together with experts from different industries

Executive MBA is a modular programme, consisting of compulsory programmes and tutoring seminars, elective programmes, personal learning assignments and final project, the EMBA Thesis. During your studies you will meet a large number of colleagues representing different industries and backgrounds, with whom learning, networking and exchanging views and experiences will enrich your studies. An extensive network of managers and experts is a valuable asset that you will have also after your studies.  JYU EMBA programme is taught in Finnish.

Compulsory modules for all EMBA students include:

• EMBA Strategies of Excellence programme (30 ECTS credits). In the programme you will build a framework of successful leadership by exploring modern business management knowledge and the best company-specific practices
• EMBA Psychodynamics of Leadership programme (5 ECTS credits). In the programme you focus on the development of individual identity, with the aim of enhancing the use of your personality in work and leadership. EMBA Psychodynamics of Leadership is unique and highly impactful leadership programme.
• Executive MBA tutoring seminars (6 ECTS credits) online. Seminars support the progress of your EMBA studies, and the completion of your EMBA Thesis.
• EMBA Thesis (20 ECTS credits)
• EMBA Learning Analysis (1 ECTS credits) The learning analysis is conducted at the end of your studies. It is a reflection and summary of your journey of development as a leader.
